Writer/creater Ryan Murphy told US Weekly that Paltrow will be doing 3 or 4 solos.
As for how the partnership came about, Ryan shared, “She is a friend of mine and I admire her…I said, ‘If I write a part for you, will you do it?’ And she said, ‘Yes!’”
"Gwyneth is a great singer," Murphy said. "She's done it a little bit, but I really want to show it off and show everyone how great she is."
Paltrow has be written into two upcoming episodes, but no word if she will be a regular character.
For some of you that don't know, Paltrow is no stranger to the music scene. In addition to crooning in the 2000 movie "Duets" (and being married to superstar Coldplay frontman Chris Martin), Paltrow portrays a drug-addled country belter attempting a comeback in the upcoming movie "Country Strong."
