The Royal Couple Departs Calgary to L.A.

Prince William & Kate Middleton have officially left the stampede city of Calgary to the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles this afternoon. Of their two day visit to cowtown, the couple have and made many memories to last a lifetime.

The couple visited the 21st Century Research and Innovation Centre at the University of Calgary where William was resuscitated a robotic doll back to life, they took part in a chuck wagon demonstration, watched a bull riding demonstration in which William helped hold the bull rope for the rider, to driving down the parade route to wave at their many fans.  The couple has also met many and diverse people in our fine city as well.  Even our fine veterans.

William said that a week ago he had spoken of how much he and Kate had looked forward to getting to know Canada and Canadians.

"I can only say that the experience of this past seven days has exceeded all our expectations. We have been hugely struck by the diversity of this beautiful country, from Ottawa to Quebec, from Prince Edward Island to the Northwest Territories and now the excitement of Calgary," William said.

"And what about these fantastic white hats?"

He said that Canada has "far surpassed all that we were promised. Our promise to Canada is that we shall return."

Before leaving the city of Calary, the couple received a 21-gun salute and an inspection of the guard of honour by Prince William.
