UFC 149 Confirmed for Calgary in July ...

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will make it's debut in Alberta this Summer and Calgary will be the city to host the big event.

UFC president Dana White and UFC director of Canadian operations Tom Wright were at Flames Central in downtown Calgary on Wednesday to announce that UFC 149 will be coming to Calgary on July 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

In the main event, reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo - universally considered one of the top fighters in the sport - will put his title on the line.

“I love this place. I love coming up to Canada,” said White, which drew roars from the pumped and energetic fans.  White was also amazed at the spirit Calgary brought to the press conference and he thinks this maybe the best event yet.

Ticket information has not been released yet but you can expect them to be in the hundreds of dollars..which fans of the sport don't seem to mind.  You can expect more than 20,000 tickets will be available to fill the dome.  Good luck UFC fans!  We'll post that information as it comes available.

Tickets go on sale Saturday May 12, 2012 @ 10am (MST).  Ticket Prices start at 105.75 (3rd & Press Level) to $716.75 (Floor Level)  Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster Online HERE, or by phone 403-777-0000, or at all outlets aswell.

Also announced at the press conference, UFC 152 will be in Toronto on Sept. 22 and UFC 154 in Montreal on Nov. 17.
