BIG NEWS! Oprah Winfrey is coming to Calgary for an inspirational event on January 22, 2013 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Calgary entrepreneurs Christian Darbyshire and Andy McCreath of tinePublic Inc. are producing the event and have achieved a major celebrity milestone - just one more in a long list of high-profile appearances the two have secured in recent years for the city. Past events have included movers and shakers such as former U.S. president George W. Bush, former British prime minister Tony Blair, former Republican vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
"It's probably the biggest event we've done," Darbyshire said.
"An Evening with Oprah Winfrey" will consist of Winfrey sharing personal stories and insights from her life and illustrate ways attendees can take control of their lives to reach their full potential, Darbyshire said. The event will also be followed by a question-and-answer session.
