Flames to Host Canadiens at McMahon Stadium in Feb. 2011

The Calgary Flames will host the Montreal Canadiens in a outdoor regular season game at McMahon Stadium next February. The expected date is February 20, 2011.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is expected to confirm the Flames-Montreal game to the media before the start of the Chicago Blackhawks-Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup final tonight.

Pittsburgh Penguins will play host to the Washington Capitals at Heinz Field on New Year’s Day in the other outdoor event.

McMahon Stadium seats 35,650 but was expanded to 46,020 for the 2009 Grey Cup game.
