STAR TREK tops the Weekend Box Office

Star Trek, which shows us how the original crew of U.S.S. Enterprise came together, has topped the box ofice this weekend at 76.5 million.

The opening was propelled by a megawatt marketing campaign and unexpectedly strong critical notices. Going into the weekend, though, Paramount was a bit nervous about how the film, which cost $140 million, would perform. Amid news of how much the movie brought in on Sunday, studio exes are estimating Star Trek to make more than $200 million domestically, a big number for a film with this size of opening weekend.

Now what did I think of the film, I gave it a 9 out of 10!!! Excellent special effects... it adds total amazement, something previous Star Treks couldn't achieve. You gotta see it!

Below is the Top 5 is the Weekend Box Office list aswell as the trailer.
  • 1 (*) Star Trek ...... $76.5 million
  • 2 (1) Wolverine ...... $27.0 million
  • 3 (2) Ghosts of Girlfriends Past .... $10.5 million
  • 4 (3) Obsessed ....... $ 6.6 million
