UPDATE: Gary Coleman Dead at 42.

Former Different Strokes star Gary Coleman has died this afternoon at the age of 42 with friends and family by his side at a Provo, Utah hospital.  He died at 12:05 pm. (MST).  Coleman suffered a brain hemorrhage after a fall on Wednesday at his Utah home and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. As of mid-morning on May 27, Mr. Coleman was conscious and lucid," said Coleman's manager John Alcantar. "By early afternoon, Mr. Coleman was slipping in and out of consciousness and his condition worsened. "We are saddened to announce that since mid-afternoon, Mountain Time, on May 27, 2010, Mr. Coleman has been unconscious and on life support."  Coleman's medical state had continued to deteriorate Friday morning until he was taken off life support this afternoon.

Simon Monjack was laid to rest by his wife Brittany Murphy on Thursday at his funeral in Los Angeles.  Approximately 75 mourners gathered for the private service.

People Magazine says a picture of the couple was placed by Monjack's casket, and the ceremony concluded with a recording of Murphy, accompanied by Monjack on piano, singing "Smile."

Murphy's mother Sharon was one of the speakers at the service: "Sharon was very strong and spoke and about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together... She told them, 'I'll miss you my babies.'"  Simon was found at home unconscious by Sharon and investigators are saying he died of a heart attack.

Alicia Keys is pregnant and is planning on marrying her fiance producer/DJ/rapper Swizz Beatz later this year.  Swizz Beatz and Keys have been friends for several years and worked together on one song for her current album, "The Element of Freedom," the publicist said.

Alicia Keys is 29 and Beatz is 31.

Brody Jenner apparently saved Canadian Avril Lavigne from drowning on the shores of Los Angeles this week.  A source says "A big wave flipped her into the water upside down. Brody swam over and dragged Avril to shore, but she'd had the wind knocked out of her - she'd swallowed a bunch of water and was coughing. When Avril realized what happened, she was so thankful Brody was there to save her."

Sex and the City 2 ranked in $3-million-dollars on Wednesday midnight screenings beating the original flick which made $2.5 million on the same time slot.  Does this mean another sequel?
