Lady Gaga premiered her new music video "The Edge of Glory" tonight (Thursday) which was inspired by the death of Gaga's grandfather and was written while she was on the road.
The video features one of Gaga's childhood icons, saxophonist of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, Clarence Clemons, who just sits there on the stairs of one building. He's wearing his signature long black jacket with his music instrument in hands.
Sadly Clemons suffered a stroke over the weekend and the video is being released early to show support for him. "In bed with Mommy thinking about Clarence," Gaga tweeted on Monday. "I can't wait for you to see the beautiful video we made together. He's a really special person."
The music video also pays homage to her days as a struggling artist on the Lower East Side when she literally was on the edge of glory and on the precipice of ‘The Fame.’
